That oldie will still work, but prefer update!
However the feed at http://hirvine.com/wordpress/?feed=rss2 won’t work anymore.

Using the old feed will result in a “please update” RSS item.

I’ve updated the urls format, such as this post the url is changed from yesterday

NEW: http://hirvine.com/blog/1450/update-fix-the-nerves-for-botsupdate-fix-the-nerves-for-bots/

A larger but more attracitive and informative url, thanks by WordPress. The next webdesign will contain a permalink to the old and more reliable url ?p=.

Today, at 13:50 I located the old feed isn’t working anymore due the pretty-urls. I was happy to be subscribed at my own feeds to find out. The very old feed (see top text of the post) will now hold a ‘please update’ message.

The new feed url permalink (best): http://hirvine.com/?feed=rss2
Or pretty url at: http://hirvine.com/feed/
RSS2 is now taken as default.

Troubleshooting, blog post could not be located

I will NEVER delete a blog post. At least I replace it with text such as ‘Deleted due …’. Still if you can’t find the blogpost and it has an url like “/blog/{NUMBER}/{TITLE}” you might need to downgrade the url. Due the change of July 7th, 2008 you might not be able to see a post of failing pretty-urls or not updated urls.

A workaround is to take out then {NUMBER} and put it in “http://hirvine.com/?p={NUMBER} “.
For example this post

FROM: http://hirvine.com/blog/1450/update-fix-the-nerves-for-botsupdate-fix-the-nerves-for-bots/
TO OLD: http://hirvine.com/?p=1450

As you see, 1450 is the page ID, which I put in the pretty-urls because of this reason. Try to replace it. If that won’t help try the FAQ/ Contact page. I will notice you why.
