To Aru Majutsu no Index 2, Innocentius, The witch hunting rope
When Touma reaches the floor of his apartment he finds Index covered in blood. Confused Touma tells her to hold on while he search for clues who ever did this. However the magicians found Touma instead. They tell Index made the mistake to return the his place to get her hood. She probably caught up when Touma wasn’t home, so she only endangered herselves. Mad the magician tells her robe, the walking church, didn’t rendered the magic effective. With this Touma realized he had broken the robe’s magic (in the previous episode).
Times run out and talking is over. The magician, named Stiyl Magnus or Fortis931, just want to recover the 103,000 grimoires and get away. Obvious Touma remain in his way and the magician answers to channel magic and throw a fireball. Unremarkable he finds Touma, alive and unscratched afterwards. Mad he finaly realizes Touma is a kind of match after all. Driven by his superior position Magnus summons ‘Innocentius’. A firelord, cradled with fire and an upper body which is dark as night comes forth. Screaming like a wild beast he spread his claws and slashes to Touma.
The surroundings, like door handle and name plates, melts under the hoods of the firelord. Though Touma simple waves it a way, at least he thought. His right hand do render the fire, but the firelord builds up the lost fire in the same speed as it’s broken down. Suddenly the voice of Index resounds, but she speaks as a pc, as an Index named Necessarius.
Necessarius is the grimoir library, the Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum. The Index narrator informs fighting the Innocentius is ineffective. Instead destroy the magic runes which binds the summoning to the place. When Touma checks his surroundings he spots a million of runes drawn at cards pasted on the roof, wall, door every it can. All cards reveals a magic symbol.
Quickly Magnus steps on the head of Index, bringing her mouth to the floor so she can’t speak. To be sure he throws another fireball to Touma, who uses the smoke to escape. Later on the alarm bell rings and the rainy showers of the sprinkler system falls down. When Touma returns, without Innocentius first, Magnus is amazed. Then Innocentius catches on and he smiles. Overconfidently he laughs, telling the rainy showers isn’t effective on the paper he used. Then he twist his mind, “Kill him!”, he calls.
Touma doesn’t even turn over. His right hand grabs to the Innocent and it renders it to void. Shocked, Magnus, steps back and finds the inkt pouring from the bills. Now it’s Touma’s turn to laugh, paper may hold, but printed ink does not. Then he races forward and smashes Magnus in the face. Knocked out he takes Index to safety as the fire arms finally responds to the alarm bell.
Index wakes up and worries about Touma, who worries about her. She smiles and tells she will be okay if they can stop the bleeding. Touma heart shatters, she must make it. Quickly he ask for an healing spell but Index friendly informs he won’t be able to cast the spell. Even if he would perfect mimic the ritual, his right arm will just dispel it. At top, she informs, any esper can’t use magic. Broken Touma falls on his knees, isn’t there anyway to safe her?
Then he remembers his teacher, who’s not an esper and might be able to make the ritual. He takes the sister (Index) on his back and later on pushing the doorbell. The loli-teacher (I forgot the name), opens the door and Touma pushes herself in. At first the little teacher embarrassed cleans the room of sigarettes and beer cans. Then she sees the sister covered in blood. The moment she’s finaly getting serieus Index body glows up in a cradle of blue light.
Necessarius announces the safety level has been breached and the life Index will perish within 15 minutes GMT. According to Necessarius the teacher may perform a ritual to safe Index. Touma kneels down and asks what help he can do, in respond Necessarius his best option is to be away. His presence alone will merely render all recover magic. Frustrated Touma storms out yelling the teacher she should take care of Index. As he runs away he feels sad and hatred of his cursed right arm. His right arm which renders or dispels any luck, magic or esper powers.
