Since the anime series “ToraDora” and “To Aru Majutsu no Index” (A Certain Magical Index) ended a week ago I didn’t found any anime to replace them. Up until now I re-watch some series and decided to start watching “Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu” (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). At first I didn’t felt much to watch an female student living her school life, but there is a lot commotion around this anime so I gave it a shot…
Wow, Haruhi Suzumiya is só cool! It’s completely different from what I thought it was. :/ I should have read some episode posts on the blogs around here.
I wondered how many people are “lost” when their favourite series ends. How do you find another great anime? Luckily a number of blogs have created posts which could guide you to a new great series. As I’m quite lazy I’m just going to sum them up and inform you how I get to know my upcoming anime series. You should know I’m a dutchman without the ability the receive the Japanese broadcast. So I don’t have to great anime commercials and am completely depended by fansbubs.
So how do you keep up with the upcoming anime if you do not have a Japanese ?
- At first anidb, they have a nice ‘calendar’ feature in which you find new animes.
- Communities, any anime community would do. I like to mention ‘fansub.tv‘ for now.
- Follow a few anime blogs who’s author is actually in Japan, so not me :/
I’m not a great source for all new in Japan, for that I’m on the otherside of the planet.
A great blog is Random Curiosity, which I follow since mid 2005.
Another blog Tenka Seiha which will also get you the newest anime news. - At last you could lurk on anime download places such as baka-wolf and animesuki.
AnimeSuki is a torrent site for unlicensed anime’s and baka-wolf have a great community with DDL.
How you keep up with the upcoming anime’s?
