Caleb and the other rebels ambushes Phobos soldiers on their way out to the city. Surprised they are overrun and the rebels claims their merchandise. Another resides in the city where Caleb friends, Aldran is has prepared an ambush as well. They retrieve their food stolen by Phobos which acted as a payment. “Food for everyone”, Caleb shouts encourages people to participate in their resistance.
Cedric and Phobos are furious, they double the guards at the routes. Cedric tells Phobos the rebels prepared their attacks, they know the route. Phobos suspects the spy is still among them, so Cedric plans a way to track the spy. They need to make a rumor of something extraordinary. Eventually the spy will take a look and Phobos suspension will be confirmed.
Blunk found a portal in meantime and together with Caleb they deliver chocolates to ‘poor’ Meridians children. Together they passes into the portal to earth and startle finding the five friends in front of them. Will is mad, Caleb is supposed to tell them about open portals not hiding it. They need to know to close the portal as a task of a guardian. Caleb objects it’s for poor little children, but Will closes the portal because it’s far to dangerous to leave it open.
At school Will discovers a theater poster which you should ignore, if it’s up to Irma in any case. Cornelia and Taranee informs her only losers participates to drama night. Family joins to watch the lame performance, in which you actually make a fool of yourself on stage. Just finished that sentence and an enthusiastically Hay Lin emerges bringing them great news. She just signed them up for drama night!
In Meridian Cedric informs the knights about their ‘discovery’ (the rumor). “The seal of Phobos has been found”, he proclaims. He needs three parties to bring the seal safely back to the castle and entrusts his knights not to generalize the information. Of course this triggers the guards in the room to rumor about their stroke seal. At the end Vathek overhears a conversation about the rumor. The seal of Phobos acts as an universal key which is able to open the Veil between the worlds, the lock of the infite city and the ancient book of secrets. That power in Cedric hands is an indirect defeat for our rebellions. Vathek has no choice to contact Caleb.
Hay Lin is lectured by her friends, dragging them to drama night. Cornelia ask what she had in mind as subject for the play. Unlucky for the others Hay Lin thought of mythology. Yan Lin appears the know a great myth about four dragons who serviced a uncaring emperor. An beautiful nymph, she narrates, the daughter of the emperor named Shin Jin, felt pity for the people and cried for many months. The four nation dragons decided to help these people she cares for. They ends the terrible drought creating rainy clouds above the country. Instead of being rewarded, the emporer was in rage and punishes the dragons who acted without his permission. He locked the dragons inside four mountains. Shin Jin was infuriated and joined the dragons. All that was left was the crystal amulet. “The origin of our powers”, Will says. Hay Lin thinks it’s a great story for their play and so it’s decided.
After the audition Blunk meets Caleb in the alley who’s complaining about the fact he, as rebel leader, has to ask permission to use the portals to girls. Blunk passes Vathek’s message to Caleb, apparently the seal of Phobos has been found in the village Torus Filney. Caleb explains Blunk about the small medallion talisman with a royal crest which can open anything. The talisman may lead the rebellions to victory.
Just when the play is about to start Yan Lin rushes towards the girls folding a letter in her hand. She explains Caleb went to find the ancient talisman but that should be a trap. Caleb in meanwhile is sinking down Cedric’s sand pit monster. While the girls can’t leave without a play (it would provoke an detention) they learn to create clone’s of themselves. Chanting “sprod lartsa” ,reverse of astral drops, to the Heart they find their selves a new I. Though they might look like them, they are in fact just empty shells without brains nor feelings (happy too), but this means they don’t know the play. Lucky for the girls it’s Yan Lin problem, I guess.
The guardians arrives at a abandoned village in Meridian when suddenly a hand of quicksand grabs Will’s ankles lowering her below. Lucky Irma and Taranee pulls her off and they land at the shore to inspect the situation. Just as they land some kids informs them “A boy felt in the sands”. As the party investigates the solution the astral drops are making a mess of their play which eventually breaks their reputation at school. Back in Meridian Will decides to go in to take a look. Beneath the quicksand they find a huge cave which actually lives, anything which closes to the floor or walls is sucked in. When Taranee enlights the space they spot Caleb who’s immediately apologizing. The guardians frees all people stuck beneath the quicksand and rises up to the exit. As soon as everyone is safe they seal the pit converting it to glass. It will never devour people anymore.
Returning to the play at Earth Hay Lin can’t wait to hear the overwhelming applause. Contrary they find themselves suspended making such absurd play and shamelessly spraying water to them. Cedric awaits his triumph, when he ask to have a list of all people who left the castle yesterday.
