Episode 3 ‘The town is in a lot of danger’

Quickly Nanoha hands shifts as she calls the sealing incantation for Jewel Seed XX. Pink strokes of light shoots to the stars, sealing it and return it to a small piece of blue jewel. She takes a breather, it’s a though job. During the day she’s just a normal scholar, but as night she’s a magical girl. Exhausted she goes how, tomorrow it’s Sunday.

Lazy Nanoha turns over in bed and looks up to the ceiling. Yuuno woke her up and she taker her Raging Heart to view her little collection of jewel seeds. Five already in a single week, not bad. However it’s not the amount she thinks about it, but what she feels.

It’s like she gained something … At any case today is a break and they goes off to see her dad coaching his soccer team Midoriya JFC together with her friends Arisa and Suzuka. The team wins and they celebrates at their little restaurant.

Time walks slowly until the afternoon breaks the day. Everyone takes their leave and splits up. Some leaves in a pair like a starting couple does. The boy grabs in his bag, finding a little jewel he found. Smiling to himself … she will appreciate it.

The seed flashes in Nanoha’s corner of eyes. What was that? She ask herself, her imagination of a jewel seed. Well, she is exhausted so she goes home to find a bed.

In meanwhile the seed IS a jewel seed is suddenly activated when the boy hands over the jewel to the girl. It transforms into a big tree which almost separates the couple. Shocked they grabs each other and as they embraces a cocoon swallows them as the heart of the tree. Nanoha instinct goes off and she races to the city. She calls forth her Raging Heart, always with ‘please’ instead of the password. Arrived she finds a huge trees which roots destroys anything in it’s path.

Yuuno explains the maximal potential of a jewel seed can be reached if you put your feelings and wishes into it. Suddenly she memories the boy and blames herself for being so careless. Yuuno uncomfortable attempts to cheer her up. It’s not all to blame her, she (Yuuno) is in fact to blame since she lost the seeds. Suddenly Nanoha asks Yuuno how to remedy this. Surprised of Nanoha’s professional act Yuuno startles but informs they need to locate the center and seal it.

Nanoha overlooks the city which is covered in roots. Her chin lowers and she closes her eye in full concentration. Next she speaks out the command to Raging Heart, search. Silently time ticks away when suddenly she looks up, opens her eyes and turns her face towards the direction of the center. In full confidence she aims her staff towards the center. Yuuno signs a no-no, it can’t be done from this distance she tells and looks up. Nanoha starts to take action and says it can be done.

Sad she kneels down. Feeling the heavy burden of a mage, feeling guilt to have noticed the jewel seed and ignore it’s currency. The words Yuuno speaks no longer reach her. Unconsoled she walks to the ruined city, the place she lives in. Yes, the jewel seed number 10 was her first mistake as a mage.

Enduring this pain and finding her city in this horrible state she firmly swear she will do with it takes to seal away all jewel seeds. Not because she wants to help Yuuno, it’s because she wants to.
